Afflictions

Afflictions are usually negative modifiers the player's cats may obtain while adventuring out in the world. There are several different types of ailments, such as:

• Birth Defects, a form of mutations with a very negative effect and a minor upside and is usually the result of inbreeding;
• Disorders, which are themselves separated between Physical and Mental Disorders;
• Diseases, obtained through interactions in adventures or through events;
• Curses, unique conditions usually involving being downed by magic attacks or equipping Cursed items, which lock one of the cat's item slots;
• Parasites, who take over and lock one of the cat's item slots and are obtained through events such as cat orgies.
